The Ads Safety Enablement and Prevention team is at the centre of safeguarding the Google Ads ecosystem, protecting billions of users and $250+ billion in annual revenue.In this role, you will build scalable and intelligent systems to prevent bad actors from serving ads to users, and enable good actors to advertise with minimal friction. You will collaborate with partner teams in Ads, Trust & Safety, GBO, and DeepMind to leverage modern machine learning technologies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop innovative solutions to classify and understand actors and their assets including destinations in Google Ads using modern machine learning techniques.Collaborate with partner teams to provide holistic solutions to detect and stop bad actors from re-entering Google Ads,



and to reduce friction for good actors.Build effective and explainable clustering-based solutions to ensure consistent treatment of both good and bad actors in Google Ads.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.2 years of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.2 years of experience building Machine Learning (ML) solutions.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.Experience developing accessible technologies.Salary: $182,000 – $186,000 CAD + 15% bonus target + equity + perks.Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of software development experience. 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products. 2 years of experience with SQL, R, Python, or C++. 2 years of experience building Machine Learning solutions.
