The Senior Financial Analyst will use his or her financial modeling and analytical skills to develop scheduled and ad hoc reports that drive key management decisions. The candidate must be a quick learner who possesses strong communication, analytical and technical skills.Maintenance of Financial ModelsThe Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models that are distributed to management on a monthly and quarterly basisKey deliverables encompass business unit profit & loss reporting, Deposit forecasting & pricing analyses, NIM Margin Analysis, and budget/forecastsThis role will require the candidate to run detailed financial models, liaise with different business units and extract and manipulate data from various information sourcesThe incumbent will employ advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables, Nestled "IF" Statements, VLOOKUP, OFFSET, SUMIFS, MATCH-INDEX, etc. to build efficient and accurate financial modelsEnhance Financial Analyses and ProcessesThe candidate will work closely with various team members to define,
scope and implement enhancements to detailed financial models, including budgeting/forecasting toolsThe Senior Financial Analyst will help structure key processes and develop relevant background documentation with a view to enhance efficiencies and manage riskThis team member will be expected to proactively find ways to improve the technical accuracy, validation and organization of financial modelsFinancial Analysis/Ad hoc ReportingPerform ad hoc reporting and analysis requests as required with a high degree of flexibility and attention to detailReporting requests may require the candidate to collect, consolidate and analyze financial data and key performance metrics derived from various sourcesThe candidate may be required to assist in other areas of the Accounting and Finance department and other business units as needs ariseQualificationsFour year Degree; Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferredPreference for a CFA/CPA designation completed/in processAt least 4 - 5 years of progressive and relevant work experienceDemonstrated ability using MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including developing/running macrosAbility to work extensively with formulas, numbers and spreadsheetsExperience utilizing technology to gather and manipulate dataExperience using database query tools (i.E. SQL)
