Job Summary:The Inventory Planner's responsibility is to process purchasing orders and maintain inventories of garments and control of inventory stock levels to ensure the right products are in stock at the right time.Duties and Responsibilities:Create and distribute POs and BPOs (Value add Service Production Orders) approval requestsDevelop forecasts of future demand and inventory requirements by measuring sales trends, calculate lead time demand, calculate safety stocks and set reorder pointsMonitor contractual inventory minimum and maximums levels (safety stocks) of merchandise is available to meet customer needsProcess re-order reports and execute inventory strategies to fill account requirementsCollaborate with cross functional teams including sales, program managers, customer service, purchasing and production to ensure inventory targets are metAnalyze data to identify trends and make recommendations to improve inventory processesReduce exposure to excess and obsolete inventory by observing strict planning guidelinesProactively alert production and purchasing team on possible demand and inventory issuesMonitor the accuracy of cost sheets and correct any discrepanciesOther duties as assignedExperience and Education:College/associate's degree in supply chain or business administrationExperience in supply chain and logisticsExperience in ERP and warehouse management systemsMinimum 6 months' experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain managementKnowledge of garment construction and fabric materials propertiesTime managementProblem solving and critical thinkingData analysis skills to interpret inventory dataAttention to Detail – methodical interest in precision and ability to concentrate on a task without being distractedVerbal and written communication skillsIndependenceCollaborationMathematical skills, arithmetic, ratios, unit conversions, probability and statisticsStress Tolerance, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesService OrientationComputer knowledge MS Excel, Outlook, Word, WMS and ERP systems (Blue Cherry)Working Conditions, Physical Effort and Setting:Sitting for 5 to 8 hoursLittle physical strength
