Summary:Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair across all company Canadian locations.Job Terms:Permanent, Full-Time. Day Shift.Responsibilities:Follow Preventive Maintenance schedule to perform facility and equipment maintenance activitiesPerform routine facility and equipment repairsPerform urgent repairs, as necessaryOrder required parts and supplies after purchase is approved by the supervisorRepair or replace defective machinery partsDetect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctionsAssist with heating and cooling systems troubleshootingAssist in assembling new machinery and equipment prior to installation, and in installing, if requiredAdjust machinery and equipment to proper settingsOperate forklift, overhead crane, elevated platform, hand tools, read and interpret blueprintsMay require rigging, handling, centering, work at elevation; bearing,



etc.Adhere to protected operating procedures at all timesAdhere to lock out procedures during machinery shutdownOther duties as required.Qualifications:Prior experience in the manufacturing maintenance setting433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Journeyman certification is a strong assetKnowledge of electrical and electronic controls, lathes/mills and other machining tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVACWorking at heights /Elevated platform certification is an assetWillingness and ability to learn required machinery is a mustAbility to work multi-task, work under pressure, prioritize and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are metMust possess a valid driver's licenseThis posting is for an existing vacancy.
