About the job Structural Designer / Project ManagerJob Title: Structural Designer / Project ManagerLocation: Edmonton, AB (onsite)Type: PermanentThe Position:Our client, a well-established construction and engineering company, is currently seeking a Structural Designer / Project Manager to join their team.As a Structural Designer / Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of structural design projects from conception to completion. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.What You'll Do:Develop and oversee structural design plans, specifications, and calculations for various construction projectsCollaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure designs meet project requirements and specificationsManage project timelines, budgets,



and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetConduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction is in accordance with design plansCommunicate with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns or issuesMentor and provide guidance to junior designers and team membersStay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure designs are compliant and up to dateMaintain accurate project documentation and recordsEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and company policiesMandatories:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and project managementStrong knowledge of structural design software, such as AutoCAD and RevitExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentKnowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniquesPMP certification is an assetWorking Conditions:This is a full time, permanent position based in Edmonton, AB, Canada. The successful candidate will work primarily in an office setting, but may also be required to visit construction sites as needed. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
