Work Directly with Clients

Provideindividual counselling and emotional support using a wellness wheel approach Facilitatehealing circles, talking circles, and group sessions for youth and families Buildcare plans together with your clients,



starting from their strengths and whatmatters to them Workthrough risk assessments and safety planning with clients who are struggling, alongside your supervising clinician Leadand take part in land-based cultural activities as part of the program Offerfollow-up care through videoconferences when getting in person isn't possible Support Families and Work Across Systems

Providecase management to clients and their families, including attending videoconferencingpsychiatry and psychology consultations Speakup for clients and help coordinate services with community agencies andpartners Fulfillyour professional reporting obligations as required by law Buildrelationships within local schools and support students with counselling andfollow-up Keep Good Records and Stay Connected to theTeam

Documentyour work accurately and on time in Misiway's Electronic Health Record Showup for case conferences, team meetings, and program planning Keepclient information confidential, following Misiway's privacy standards andapplicable law What You Bring

Required

Bachelorof Social Work (preferred), or a diploma in Social Service Work, Child andYouth Work, or a related field Atleast 2 years of direct experience working with Indigenous children and youthin a social services or health setting Experiencewith trauma-informed, strengths-based,



and culturally safe approaches to care Comfortableconducting wholistic assessments and developing safety plans with clients Goodcommunication, listening, and writing skills Ableto manage an active caseload as part of a team ValidOntario Class G licence and access to a reliable vehicle Assets

Knowledgeof Indigenous cultures, histories, and the generational impacts of colonialism and residential schools Experiencewith land-based healing, ceremonial practices, or Traditional Knowledge Abilityto speak Cree or Ojibway Experiencewith virtual counselling Registrationwith a relevant qualified regulatory body such as the OCSWSSW, or eligibility to register Acombination of education and lived experience will be genuinely considered forthis role.
