OverviewYour role as Platform Developer, BackendThe Platform team at Dialogue is looking for a Platform Developer, Backend to work on the platform tools and services that power Dialogue's software products.About the Platform Development teamDialogue's Integrated Health Platform supports the health and wellness of millions of people across 49,000+ organizations. We operate a reliable, highly-available, multi-tenant software architecture that powers several white-label mobile applications for our members, as well as desktop software used by our operations team to deliver care.The Platform team's mission is to streamline the development of these products by building and operating valuable platform technologies. These technologies aim to improve the security, reliability, and agility of the architecture and its data integrations as we continue to grow.What you'll be doingWrite precise, readable and testable code and maintainable test suites that constitute a positive example for other Dialogue developersImplement and maintain highly available and fault-tolerant backend services and platform systemsContribute to the development and improvement of data pipelines to ensure effective management of information flowsWrite and participate in the development and communication of technical design documents to align the team on clear solutionsMonitor system performance and reliability, implementing improvements as necessary to ensure high availabilityEnsure the security and compliance of the platform with industry standards and regulationsImprove the skills and effectiveness of other developers across the company through code review, documentation, and direct guidanceStay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply them to improve the platformOur team also owns the following platform capabilities:Workflow orchestrationData Warehouse InfrastructureUser authentication and authorizationA member engagement platformWe design, build, maintain, and operate a variety of components, including HTTP services, data pipelines, libraries,



and infrastructure.Qualifications3-5 years of meaningful experience working on distributed, service-oriented architecturesEnjoy creating long-term business value with platform technologies and comfortable designing software and communicating decisionsFamiliarity with event-driven architectures, or willingness to learn on the jobFamiliarity with data synchronization architectures, or willingness to learn on the jobExperience with Test-Driven Development is a plusBilingualism is essential; you may be required to communicate in French and EnglishPlease note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position.
