We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Engineer to join our energetic Water Resources team. This role involves the design, analysis, and reporting of stormwater management systems with a focus on subdivision development projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be capable of mentoring junior team members, and effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead stormwater strategy direction for all projects and provide sound engineering solutionsPreparation and final review of stormwater management sections of design reports (FSR, MESP, due diligence, detailed design, etc)Monitor and manage project deliverables including critical path analysis to ensure deadlines are metMonitor and manage water resources staff and workload to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are metOversee coordination with internal team members and other project professionals (environmental, fluvial, Geotech, etc)Provide mentorship, leadership and guidance to junior staff, including competing annual performance reviewsMake inquiries, gather project specific design information (reports, drawings, etc), and extract specific stormwater management information relevant to the projectPrepare project stormwater modelling including model set up,



initial run and design iterations; provide feedback to junior water resources team members on modelling works and define next steps for modellingPrepare and/or review stormwater management quantity and quality controls including outlet structure sizing; prepare/review design of water balance, volume control and phosphorus budget control featuresReview design comments, and provide final review of comment responsesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering with a focus on Water Resources.Licensed Professional Engineer specializing in water resources and stormwater management design with advanced knowledge and experience in subdivision designMinimum five (5) years in water resources engineering and minimum two (2) years in stormwater management design for subdivisions and site plan developmentMinimum two (2) years experience in a management role supporting junior staffExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Skills:Strong stormwater modelling skills with proficiency in HECRAS and PCSWMMStrong organizational skillsKnowledgeable in design of storm sewers, sanitary sewers, roads, lot grading, earthworks and stormwater managementFamiliar with design standards and municipal criteriaSelf-motivated, independent and drivenWhat we offer:a supportive place to workcompetitive salary based on experiencea flexible 36-hour work weekdental/medical benefits planwellness spending accountremote work flexibilityopportunities to grow based on merit not years of service
