Mission Statement The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world. Job Description Position Purpose summary: The Volunteer Coordinator provides support to the Manager of Volunteers, coordinating delivery of all required volunteer administrative support services for The Salvation Army (TSA) Ontario Distribution Centre (ODC) ‘Behind the Shield’ Volunteer Program and as an assist to the Manager of Volunteers other duties where needed. They perform daily tasks related to volunteer administration operations and responds to volunteer inquiries via phone and email and provides a welcoming atmosphere for volunteers entering ODC. Accountabilities Triage volunteer scenarios, specifically pre-screening processes for recent volunteers, ensuring alignment with volunteer registration acceptance criteria. Ensure all volunteer warehouse supplies inventory levels are maintained, and re-orders are placed in a timely manner to outages. Ensure effective and accurate management of inbound and outbound emails received through the ODC volunteer email
