Mainline Hoe OperatorFirma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Mainline Hoe Operator to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Edmonton and area. Because a significant portion of our work involves rehabilitation projects, we are less dependent on weather conditions, allowing for more consistent work and reduced weather-related downtime throughout the year.Hourly Wage: $40-$46 (Based on experience)Duties include (but are not limited to):Rehab / replacement work - installation of underground utilities in close proximity to existing utilities and in existing residential / commercial areasWork closely with pipe crews to install pipe - ensuring a high level of safety,



communication and qualityAdherence to legislation for excavation and trenching requirementsLower materials to pipe crews using proper rigging mechanisms and proceduresOperate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipmentEnsure work is always done safely, to the highest quality standard while maintaining robust productionPromote, execute and adhere to the company's safety programDaily equipment inspections and maintenanceConduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrityRequired Skills:3+ years of experience as a Mainline Excavator OperatorUnderground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is requiredExceptionally safety consciousAble to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foremanAbility to operate other equipment is an assetStrong communication skillsRequired Certifications:CSTS 2020 (required)WHMIS 2015 (required)Ground Disturbance Level 2 (required)
