Swan Valley Lodge in Creston, BC, is seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver to join our dynamic team. Working within a client-centered model, you'll play a vital role in implementing our established Recreation Program, contributing to the well‑well-being and enjoyment of our clients.

Your Role: As a Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to implement established recreation therapy programs that support the physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual well‑being of clients. You will lead individual and group activities such as arts, music, cooking, gardening, exercise, sports, crafts, and special events, adapting programs to meet clients’ needs and abilities.

You will also accompany clients on community outings, ensuring they are prepared and supported throughout the activity. As part of the role, you will assist with program set-up, transportation and portering,



promote and decorate for special events, monitor participation, and communicate client needs or changes to the Recreation team.

Position Information: This is a relief part-time position until the return of incumbent. This position works rotating day shifts from 07:00 to 15:00 and 08:00 to 16:00. This position qualifies for our comprehensive benefits package after 6 months. Relief roles serve as a stepping-stone, with opportunities to transition into regular employment.

Qualfications

Grade 12

Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Valid class 4 vehicle license required.
