The role develops and executes sourcing strategies that improve cost competitiveness, supplier performance, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and operational resilience. Commodity Leader serves as the commercial owner and strategic interface between the business and the supply base. Working closely with Buyers, Lead Buyers, Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, Finance, and Program teams, the role drives supplier performance, sourcing decisions, contract management, supplier rationalization, and long-term supply strategy.Location: Saint-Laurent, QCJob Type: Full-TimeWorking Arrangement: HybridResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute commodity sourcing strategies and supplier roadmapsLead strategic sourcing activities, including RFQs, RFPs, negotiations, and contract managementManage key supplier relationships, performance reviews, and supplier development initiativesIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring business continuity and supplier readinessCollaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Program teams on sourcing decisionsDrive cost reduction, supplier consolidation, process improvements, and procurement best practicesMonitor supplier performance, quality, delivery,



and compliance against business objectivesPresent sourcing strategies, supplier risks, and recommendations to senior leadershipBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain leadershipProven experience developing commodity strategies and managing strategic supplier relationshipsStrong negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance management skillsExperience with risk management, supplier development, and complex sourcing initiativesStrong business, financial, analytical, and stakeholder management skillsProficiency with ERP systems, procurement tools, spend analytics, and reportingProfessional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CIPS, or CPIM are preferredBilingual in French and English with robust verbal and written communication skillsThe base salary or rate offered to an applicant within this range is determined by considering several factors, including the individual's geographic location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications.
