WRHN @ Queen's Blvd; Hybrid (Primarily remote with occasional in-person presence as required) Position Summary : Reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence & Data Integration, the CCL Report Developer will design and maintain reports and data infrastructure within Oracle Health (Cerner) to support patient care, operational efficiency, and decision-making across Waterloo Regional Health Network. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CCL-based reports and data extracts, building reliable data pipelines, and ensuring the accuracy, availability, and structure of clinical and operational data drawn from Cerner Millennium. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain reports using Cerner Command Language (CCL) to support clinical, operational, and administrative decision-making. Build and optimize data extracts and pipelines that move data from Cerner Millennium into downstream reporting and analytics platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing CCL reports, including performance tuning and data accuracy problems. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and analytics stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure reports and extracts comply with data governance standards, including data quality, security, and privacy requirements (e.g., PHIPA). Maintain documentation of report logic, data sources, and dependencies to support long-term maintainability. Support integration between Cerner data and other systems or platforms (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Fabric) as needed. Participate in testing and validation of reports following Cerner upgrades, patches, or configuration changes.



Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to team members and stakeholders on CCL-based reporting. Monitor and support production reporting jobs, addressing failures or discrepancies in a timely manner. Position Requirements

Candidate must reside in Ontario Master’s degree in health informatics, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience with data analysis in a healthcare setting Minimum 3 years of experience with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric Experience using Cerner reporting tools (DA2, CCL, SAP BO) Proficient in SQL and Python Solid understanding of relational database structure and design Proficient in analyzing large, complex healthcare datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support organizational objectives and improve patient care. Proven ability in collaborating with cross-functional teams including healthcare providers, IT, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly define projects, objectives, goals, assignments, etc. Preferred Requirements
