This includes operating ambulances or other modes of transportation. You may treat patients by administering minor medications, using basic life support (BLS) airway adjuncts, and providing semi-automated defibrillation. You may also lead the BLS crew in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes.You will assist in ensuring that ambulances or other transport vehicles, including non-emergent transport (NET) units,



are properly stocked and equipped in accordance with established standards. The working setting for a PCP is demanding and includes exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, moving traffic, and industrial and agricultural equipment. You will be required to travel in all weather conditions and to remote locations (e.G., backcountry), with exposure to hazardous and graphic scenes and direct exposure to bodily fluids.The PCP role is physically demanding. You must be able to endure frequent lifting and carrying of up to 105 lbs while transporting and transferring patients, supplies, and equipment. You must also be able to endure frequent simultaneous kneeling and trunk flexion for extended periods.
