Registered Nurses enhance the life of their clients by providing a broad range of care needs within the framework, policies and procedures and the standards of practice prescribed by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Through their work, Registered Nurses contribute to the healing and independence of their clients and promote the continual improvement of the overall health of the community.CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESutilize the nursing process and standards of care (College of Nurses of Ontario – RN)perform pronouncements in keeping with RN standardsmonitor and comply with DRN documentationwork independently in the community in the execution of daily taskscomplete point of care assessments and comprehensive nursing assessments (e. g. Mini-metal status, depression, pain, etc.)practice infection prevention and control measuresengage as a support network for peers also working in the communityprovide the highest quality care and participate in quality processes as requiredcomplete all necessary client assessmentsimplement and deliver client's plan of care, recommend care plan adjustments to Managersparticipate in the effective and protected coordination of client care among team members and managersensure appropriate caseload management, ongoing monitoring and evaluation of care.collaborate respectfully with the client, family members, other team membersengage other care multi-disciplinary providers as necessary (e. g. Physicians, OT, PSW)engage effectively with external stakeholders as necessary (e. g hospital partners)advocate for the client/caregivers in a collaborative and effective wayperform all necessary documentation in a real time mannerinterpret information, support decisions,
