Duties may include operation of a variety of machines that cut, bend, roll or otherwise shape metal, and the operation of forklifts or other power mobile equipment.ResponsibilitiesUse a variety of manufacturing equipment to fabricate steel (industrial bends, plasma cutters, cut to length machines, etc.).Read and understand blueprints, specifications and drawingsSet up and operate all key equipment in the fabrication department (Plasma table, Laser, Presses, brakes,



rollers)Arrange parts and staging of materialsPropose potential quality or productivity enhancementsEnsure quality checks of products are completed as requiredComplete required PM's and calibrations for their machines and toolsReport any quality concerns to lead handComplete job orders using Kanban cards and job orders properly (if applicable)Accurately complete scrap tickets, travelers and shift reportsReview of finish parts to ensure accuracy against drawingsFollow all SOP's and SWI's required for the departments.Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.E. continual improvementsReview of finished parts to ensure accuracy against drawings & BOMs.Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is preferredOne year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceManufacturing experience is an assetFamiliarity with basic hand toolsAble to work in fast paced environment handling heavy loads and standing for long periods of timePossess attention to detail, problem solving, and communication skillsAble to operate overhead crane and forklift (if applicable)Able to read, understand and follow blueprintsAbility to read and interpret a tape measureAble to complete basic mathematics (addition, subtraction)Able to use basic hand toolsAble to read, write,
