We like to say we have a vacation for every traveller because we do!If you're someone who's passionate about exploring the world and sharing that enthusiasm with our customers, we'd love to welcome you to our team.For over 50 years, Air Canada Vacations has been making travel easy, so come and join us in helping fellow Canadians create unforgettable memories wherever they go.JOB TITLE : Supervisor, GroupsPOSITION STATUS : Temporary 12 monthsDEPARTMENT : GroupsLeading the Groups department and ensure productivity and customer service standards are met.What You'll Be DoingResponsible for the supervision of staff including training, coaching, performance evaluations, discipline, and hiring.Ensure effective and consistent communication throughout the team, encourage feedback.Provide guidance and assistance to the team.Demonstrate influential, people-oriented leadership & support.Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.Handle any client situation to accurately resolve issues in a timely fashionEnsure a high level of customer service and professionalism is provided and always maintained through on-going monitoring and coaching.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Instill best practices,
processes and systems to drive continuous improvement.Assist the training department in ensuring that the staff has the proper tools to perform their duties and identify and recommend areas where training may be required.Oversee the activities of the departments in relation to priorities and problem resolutions.Approach problem-solving with a solutions oriented, can do mind set.May perform other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.What You Bring To The TeamUniversity or College diploma in Tourism, Communications and/or personnel ManagementMinimum of three (3) years of experience in the industryExcellent communication and organizational skillsDemonstrates good judgment, initiative and flexibilityAbility to work under pressure, Strong team playerKnowledge of Group processes is mandatoryAbility to resolve problems quickly and efficientlyComputer literacy in (Word, Excel)Must be available to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekendsKnowledge of activities performed by other departments, their policies and Procedures, is an assetKnowledge of Air Canada Vacation reservation system is an assetFluent in English and FrenchWHY WORK WITH US?Our team loves to travel, and we have one of the most generous employee travel programs in the industry.
