The Kitchen General Helper will be responsible for dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and other areas and assisting chef and team as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Dispense food for next day of production and plate individual mealsConduct work in accordance with safety standardsStore food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation proceduresPerform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areasDistribute supplies, utensils and portable equipmentWashing DishesAssure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirementsAbility to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging)Assisting Chef as neededSandwich Making as neededQualifications:You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalentStrong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage workloadAbility to work both independently and in team setting as requiredGood command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructionsPrevious food service experience in restaurant, banquet or remote camp settingPhysical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
