We want to hear from you.As a Regional Health & Safety Manager within Pomerleau's Health and Safety team, you will act as a change agent and ensure the interpretation, implementation, and enforcement of health and safety laws and regulations across job sites and facilities within your territory, in alignment with our corporate practices.What you will doParticipate in development initiatives and act as a subject matter expert for Health & Safety Site Coordinators within your territoryEnsure understanding and proper use of health and safety systems, processes, and policies implemented on sites in your regionGuide site management personnel (Project Directors, Project Managers, Superintendents, H&S Site Coordinators, etc.) toward achieving corporate H&S objectives by ensuring full engagement from all stakeholdersAct as a resource person for site supervision teams on projects under $12M (kickoff meetings, onboarding, safety pauses, health and safety committees, etc.)Develop, implement, and evaluate health and safety programs and strategiesConduct regular audits to ensure compliance with our H&S management systemProduce and submit weekly inspection reports to Corporate H&S Management for all sites under your responsibilityContribute to the development and implementation of H&S management toolsParticipate in recruiting personnel required to support the H&S programBe involved in special mandates with clients and government authoritiesHelp identify training needs on construction sitesDeliver certain health and safety training sessions on siteEnsure subcontractor compliance with health and safety requirements and support project management involvementContribute to the annual evaluation of the health and safety coordinator in your territoryProvide temporary coverage on job sites if requiredParticipate in H&S promotion initiatives across sites in your territoryThis role could be for you if you haveA Prevention Officer certification card, high school diploma, or relevant training in the construction sector5 years of experience as a Site Health & Safety Coordinator or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of the construction industryAvailability to travel across QuebecBenefitsRRSP with up to 5% employer matchingHybrid work model for corporate rolesEmployee stock ownership programCareer growth through real development opportunitiesTransit pass reimbursement - get to work for freeMinimum 4 weeks of vacation from day oneFor the past six years, we've proudly held the distinction of being one of Canada's Top 100 Employers.Pomerleau is a national leader in construction, delivering major projects across Canada.
