You'll have the opportunity to play a significant role in ensuring the company's objectives for profitability are achieved and collaborate with people from various teams from Blue Cross organizations across Canada. You'll need strong analytical skills and a love for data/analytics.This role offers flexibility to work remotely within Canada, or in a hybrid or in-office arrangement based out of our Moncton or Quebec offices.As an Actuarial Analyst,



you willComplete quarterly reporting to analyze and monitor the profitability of group insurance productsIdentify and implement enhancements to reporting processes to support our efficiency initiativesCreate and/or populate actuarial models to price various group life products and revisionsProvide support to the underwriting team for large/complex quotesCommunicate with reinsurance partners regarding quotations and technical pricing models and evaluate/review reinsurance treatiesSupport the implementation and testing of new products or product changes in quotation tools and administrative systemsAdapt current business processes and tools to test and accommodate the roll-out of new IT systems and data sourcesWhat you need to succeedUniversity degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or another closely related fieldProgress toward ASA and/or ACIA designation considered an assetExceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detailDemonstrated interest and experience in process improvement and automation initiativesExperience building, documenting, and maintaining business process modelsStrong problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues within complex data setsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative project teamKnowledge of group insurance products considered an assetBilingualism (EN/FR) is considered an asset. English is requirement, written and verbal,



to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholdersPay Range$53,236 - $$69,000 CADThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our organization.The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Blue Cross Life employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs.
