This role supports the corporate finance function for a multi entity, multi location business. The Sr. Corporate Accountant will play a key role in consolidations, financial reporting, month end close, and maintaining consistent and accurate financial information across all operating divisions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead consolidation activities for multiple entities and business units within the corporate structurePrepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and corporate reportsSupport the annual budgeting and forecasting process with detailed analysisEnsure accurate coding, cost allocation, and data integrity across multiple operating locationsReview AP, AR, and general ledger entries for accuracy and compliance with policiesIdentify opportunities to improve corporate accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting workflowsProvide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support finance leadership with decision makingDocument accounting processes and develop SOPs to support consistency, training,



and future scalingReview month end workbooks from multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policiesWrite comprehensive review notes on month end close activities and communicate with cross functional teams to resolve discrepanciesManage the reconciliation of capital leases, including reviewing schedules and assessing lease obligations across locationsOversee multi location fixed asset reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of asset records, depreciation, additions, and disposalsMaintain a consolidated continuity schedule for fixed assetsManage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across multiple locations, ensuring accurate eliminations and proper documentationPrepare and reconcile HST filings for multiple locations, ensuring compliance with tax regulationsAssist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation, audit schedules, and resolving audit inquiriesSupport both statutory and tax audit requirementsQualificationsCPA designation completed or in progress is preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,



or a related fieldThree to five years of accounting experience with a strong focus on consolidationsExperience in a corporate accounting role within a multi entity or multi location environmentStrong understanding of GAAP and corporate level financial reportingHigh attention to detail with strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skillsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environmentStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with corporate and operational teamsExperience in waste management, environmental services, field services, or construction is an assetProactive problem solving mentality with the ability to identify and resolve issues earlyAudit experience and familiarity with audit processes, including preparation of audit schedulesExperience with Sage 300 and Sage Enterprise Intelligence is an assetDemonstrated initiative and ability to engage in complex financial tasks in a fast paced, growth oriented environmentSeniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionFinance and Accounting / AuditingThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned in this position.
