Duties and ResponsibilitiesNegotiating rates with carriers to maximize profitabilityDevelop and constantly update a cross-border rate sheet to have an advantage on current market, market pricing, and market trendsEstablish a validated diversified partner carrier network across North America specifically in dry, reefer, and specialized equipmentUtilize expert knowledge of Truckmate to suggest improvement changes and better user experience for day-to-day operations; Brokerage dispatch, Command Center, Customer Service, Trip Tracer, Customer/Vendor modulesImprove levels of spot quote service with real time communication of rates to customersWork closely with Sales team on RFP's and customized solutionsEnsure deadlines and timelines are met providing the highest quality of workEnsure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns or other issues as necessaryMaintain high level of brand experience (timely response, customer education on 3PL market insight)Ability to understand insurance implications and provide OS&D and claims assistanceDrive team to a minimum goal of 600 booked loads per monthDrive net new business opportunities, spearheading inside sales and support to Director and teamAchieve 150 scheduled freight bills per week as an operations teamPlayer/Coach:
