Reporting to the Geotechnical Operations Support team, the Dyke Construction Monitoring Technologist will perform safe, compliant, and effective construction monitoring of various mine earth structures including external tailings dykes, in-pit tailings dykes, and waste dumps.Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta – Horizon Oil SandsShift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off (alternating day/night shifts) – 12-hour shiftSafety sensitive position: YesApplication deadline: October 6, 2026Key Accountabilities:Carry out and document construction quality control and assurance in accordance with the ITM, QMP, and construction drawings and specificationsInspect the material borrow source during each shift to confirm that the material meets the design specificationConfirm planned placement areas are consistent with design zonation boundaries, as per construction drawings and specificationsDocument relevant construction related conversations or communications to ensure construction deviations and decisions are accurately documented and communicated to Supervisor,
