NRT offers a energetic opportunity to practice and hone bothclinical and organizational skills across a number of different care settings, while supporting the broaderneeds and demands of the organization. Our NRT staff are well known and respected for their role within the Hospital community.Key ResponsibilitiesStaff scheduling within a computerized scheduling environmentPrepares, posts and maintains staffing schedules and attendance recordsOrders supplies, files,
and other clerical duties as assignedFirst point of contact and liaison for visitors and patient's families by telephone and in personMaintain on unit patient records and documentsProvides clerical support to the registered staff, residential areas/communities and ManagersPrint medication administration records (MARs)Collects and distributes the mailProcess unit related service requestsSchedules resident's care conferences and appointments, including transportation arrangementsFollow-up with referring agencies on outstanding clinical informationCommunication and collaboration with other departments as requiredMaintain unit-required lists for operational purposes, e.G. fan-out listSupport quality improvement initiatives when applicableQualifications1 year recent and related clerical experience, in a health care setting or recent completion of a recognized post-secondary Office Administration - Medical program requiredExperience within a computerized scheduling environment required preferredExcellent keyboarding skills of 40 wpm, computer skills, including Outlook, MS Word, Excel requiredExperience with Kronos and Meditech preferredExperience working in a unionized workplace preferredBasic knowledge of medical terminology preferredExcellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skillsDetail oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills
