The role can be based in any one of our EB1 offices located in Canada, preferably in Toronto or Vancouver.Our Group Benefits Consultants are committed to providing clients with unsurpassed advice on their group benefits plans. Our team advises on a wide range of employee benefits for active, disabled or retired employees and workers' compensation benefits across multiple sectors, including corporate, multi-employer trusteed, and public sector.A typical day-in-the life of a Group Benefits Consultant involves performing and managing actuarial projects relating to employee benefits. You will work with our sophisticated valuation software and support ongoing refinement of our valuation data cleansing, assumption setting, processing and modelling tools for post-employment and workers' compensation valuations. Additionally, you may also be involved with group insurance renewals and financials, working with various pricing and claims experience trends and forecasting tools. To support the management of our clients' overall benefit programs, you will assist with research, analyses, and draft and deliver reports and presentations to share key findings with clients.We are looking for an individual with a strong actuarial background and practical experience in either group insurance or the healthcare field. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and team management skills. They will fit into a tightly knit team and are expected to effectively manage competing priorities and take ownership and pride in their work, in a busy consulting practice.
