Your role will involve:Reading & interpreting blueprint drawings & specifications to develop a plan to layout, fit and weld componentsFollowing all CWB approved welding procedures for prepping and welding mild steel, stainless steel,



and aluminumDeveloping templates and other work aids to hold and align partsAdequately prepping and inspecting all materials and weldsUsing and maintaining tools, machinery, material-handling and safety equipmentHelping with assembling subcomponents and componentsThis position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Oakville. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm with some overtime required.What You OfferFitter-Welder Trade Certificate (437A) with experience in a manufacturing plant is an assetAble to weld in all positions using GMAW, GTAW and FCAWBridge crane experience is an assetStrong communication skills - Fluent in EnglishAbility to read AutoCAD and Inventor printsMust work well independently and within a team environmentAbility to organize work under project deadline constraintsStrong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilitiesAble to lift up to 50lbsMust possess a valid driver's licenseRole Status: This position is open due to an existing role becoming vacant.Gypsum Technologies Inc. is an equal prospect employer and we would like to thank all applicants for their interest.
