At the job site they are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment, to help ensure optimal performance. This role involves working in the field, at client locations, to address equipment issues promptly and efficiently.Responsibilities and DutiesA field technician is responsible for completing quality repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment in and around CalgaryCompleting preventative maintenance services as set out by our checklistsIs able to identify possible failures before they lead to downtimeComplete equipment diagnostics and effectively communicate findingsMaintain a clean and professional work environment at all timesAdditional tasks as related to the position from time to timeQualifications and SkillsExceptional attitude and understanding of the demands of the construction equipment industryJourneyman H.E.T. technician 3rd or 4th year apprenticeEquipment experienced valued but not required, We welcome on highway and automotive technicians looking for a changeHave a complete set of hand and air tools. Specialty diagnostic equipment and large tools will be suppliedPhysically fit and able to meet the demands of heavy equipment field repairsDealership experience and training considered an assetProficient with equipment diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical, considered an assetAble to read and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to assist in diagnosticsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience5 Years construction equipment industry experience minimumMechanical: 3 years (required)CompensationExtended health careThis position is based in and around Calgary, AB (T3S 0A1).
