Job Title: Production Pharmacy AssistantLocation: Argentia MississaugaEmployment Type: Contract 6 MonthsReason for Vacancy: ReplacementWork Arrangement: On-siteDepartment Name: Pharmacy OperationsPay Typed: HourlyPay Range: $21 to $24Please note that this is a general posting range and offer range will be varied based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills required and location for this role.Job SummaryThe Express Scripts Canada Pharmacy, with regional services across the country is transforming the Canadian prescription drug landscape and the way patients make decisions about their medications.Our Mississauga Pharmacy Location is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant that provides meaningful support at the right time to our members for better health and peace of mind.As our organization continues to grow we're looking to add high energy, motivated and forward-thinking Production Pharmacy Assistant to our candidate pool for upcoming roles!The Production Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for packaging and shipping of pharmaceuticals (both refrigerated and non-refrigerated) and medical supplies. The clerk will use various warehouse equipment and computer systems. Training will be provided.Essential FunctionsPackage prescription medications according to regulatory requirements.Retrieve, count, pour, weigh or measure quantities of medications as directed by the medication order.Review patient notes and preferences on pharmacy operating system; incorporate direction accordingly.Assemble patient information materials as specified by the pharmacist.Receive medication deliveries and maintain medication inventory with a first-in-first-out mindset.Support in the management of the pharmacy's medication inventory,
including expiry checks, product organization, etc.Support in the management of supply-related needs.Support in the maintenance of an organized work area.Display a desire to support all areas of need within the pharmacy as directed by the pharmacy management team.Qualifications2 years of relatable experience, preferably in a pharmacy settingProficient in Kroll softwareComputer literate, possessing intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)CRM experience is preferable but not requiredExcellent written, verbal and oral communication skillsTeam player with the ability to work independentlyStrong customer service focusStrong work ethic and positive attitude is a mustStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervisionFlexible to situations and adaptable to changeA thorough understanding of quality assurance and delivery of service excellenceExcellent organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to shift priorities working within established timelinesDemonstrates initiative (learn processes and procedures, various benefits) and displays self-motivation to grasp current concepts quicklyResults-oriented paying attention to detailAbility to multi-taskBilingualism (English and French)
