and business development activitiesPrepare quotes and estimates while working closely with internal teams to ensure orders are processed efficientlyStay current on product offerings, technical information, industry trends, and upcoming product linesProvide customers with shipment updates and respond to inquiries in a timely mannerManage store displays and merchandising initiatives, including planograms and physical setup of product displaysDevelop a strong understanding of market trends, territory opportunities, and competitive landscapeCollaborate with internal teams on sales strategies, documentation, and customer support initiativesIdentify creative ways to improve customer service and increase sales opportunitiesAchieve and exceed sales targets and performance goalsShare product knowledge, sales strategies, and market insights with team membersRequirements5+ years of sales experience within the building materials industryStrong knowledge of building products, construction trades, and dealer/distributor networksPost-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is an assetStrong relationship management and account development skillsExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detailSelf-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independentlyStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome challenges and objectionsAbility to lift heavy boxes/objects up to 50 lbs when completing store displaysMust be comfortable with frequent travel, including overnight travel when requiredThe successful candidate will receive:Competitive base salary of $70,000 - $75,000, based on experienceNo cap commission structure with strong earning potentialCompany vehicle and travel expenses coveredAdditional perks and support to help you succeed in your territory
