Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Monitoring Station Operator. This is a fulltime evening / overnight position - Sunday through Saturday 1500-2300 and two rotating overnight Friday / Saturday 2300-0700

As an operator in our station, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment responding to alarms. If you have a background in security or call center experience, we encourage you to apply.

Duties

- Ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Monitor and respond to alarms or other security-related incidents
- Interpret/respond to alarm signals as received through automation software
- Follow established policies / procedures / instructions when responding to alarms, contacting customers, and emergency service agencies
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Accurate data entry - Maintain accurate records of incidents
- Provide quality customer service / assistance to customers, employees, dealers, contractors and agencies
- Maintain work records and logs
- Monitor personnel workloads and locations
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
- Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
- Follow-up on issues with work orders
- Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
- Receive requests for emergency assistance or service
- Perform data entry / administrative duties as required - update customers files

- SHIFT WORK IS A MUST

Skills: -General knowledge of security service and / or products

-Basic working knowledge of computers / various software applications

- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, interpersonal abilities - communicate effectively with others

-Ability to type 35-40WPM minimum
- Ability to remain calm and composed in continual high-pressure situations and adapt to constantly changing environments
- Basic understanding of relevant laws and regulations
