Job Summary: The R.E.C. Rentals Lead Hand helps keep the Rossignol Experience Center Rentals Department running smoothly and delivers an excellent guest experience.

Working with the Rentals Manager and Supervisor, the Lead Hand supports staff coordination, daily workflow, equipment preparation, Axess rental technology, facility standards, and guest service.

When the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor is away, the Lead Hand steps up to keep the team on track,



ensuring daily operations run safely, efficiently, and smoothly.

Role Responsibilities

- Assist the Rentals Manager and Supervisor with daily staff coordination and department operations.
- Coordinate staff breaks and assignments based on guest volumes, operational needs, and labour targets.
- Provide direction, support, and leadership to rental staff, maintaining a positive and professional team environment.
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust assignments across the Kids and Express Rental floors as required.
- Assign productive duties during slower periods and assist with group and high-volume equipment preparation.
- Carry a department radio and respond promptly to rental-related calls and operational requests.
- Support the effective operation of Axess rental technology, including basic troubleshooting and staff assistance.
- Ensure rental equipment is accurately tracked through dispatch, returns, servicing, and equipment tracking processes.
- Assist with equipment servicing schedules, binding inspections, and reporting damage or maintenance requirements.
- Promote excellent guest service and assist staff with guest inquiries, concerns, and operational issues.
- Maintain clean, organized, safe,



and guest-ready rental areas throughout the day.
- Provide operational leadership when supervisors are absent, communicate departmental concerns, and ensure compliance with all resort policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in rental, retail, guest service, or another high-volume workplace.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced resort environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Previous experience with rental management, POS systems, or Axess technology is an asset.
