An Assistant General Manager is responsible for the daily execution of the Mission Statement which includes providing First Class Service to every customer while partnering with the General Manager to ensure consistent and timely execution of company policies and procedures. An Assistant General Manager is assigned specific leadership responsibilities within Zone(s), terminal(s), or other support areas.ServicePromptly resolve all customer service and associate issues in accordance with our Core ValuesExceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every customer, business partners and peersTreat customers and peers in accordance with the core values of the companyOperationsEnsure store merchandising standards are consistently executed per the company guidelinesPartner with the General Manager to ensure consistent implementation of the organizational policies and goals set forth by the company, while holding the team accountable to such standardsInfluence and make recommendations to help achieve performance objectives in the areas of sales, expenses, inventory control, and payroll while monitoring overall P&L results and formulating actions plans as neededLeadership/PeopleTrain, motivate, and develop a professional team that possesses the ability to achieve sales goals while adhering to company performance metrics, implementing promotional programs, and coordinating special eventsBuild strong business relationships with airport management, brand partners, and the Support Center Team through the use of clear, consistent communicationMonitor and address performance issues in a timely manner while providing on-going coaching and counselingPerform all basic human resource functions including interviewing, succession planning, training, scheduling,
and performance reviewsOther duties as assignedThis is a 18 months contract position.Job Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree and high school diploma or equivalency requiredExperience:Minimum three (3) years of leadership in merchandising, the service industry and/or operations environmentOther Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:Ability to work flexible shifts in a 7/365 day team oriented setting; occasional travel as business dictatesExceptional customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively using the English languageSelf-starter able to prioritize numerous tasks and adapt to unexpected situations simultaneouslyProficiency required in reading, writing, mathematics, cash handling/ reporting Proficiency required in Microsoft OfficeAbility to pass the Federal Criminal History Records Check, Paradies Background Check, and the applicable Department of Transportation requirementsStanding for long periods of time and the ability to work in environments with varying temperaturesAbility to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., perform essential job functions such as standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, climbing a ladder, and walking long distancesOccasional travel may be required based on the needs of the businessThis is a 18 months contract position.Annual Salary Range: CAD $50,000- CAD $60,000ParadiesLagardère is anequalopportunityemployer.
