The Used Truck Buyer is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, appraisal, inventory management, marketing, and profitability of the Used Truck Division. and drive profitable sales outcomesAssist Truck Sales Representatives with trade appraisals to support new truck sales growth and customer retentionStructure deals involving over-allowances, wholesale transactions, and other inventory acquisition opportunitiesIdentify, prospect, and develop buy-and-sell opportunities across multiple channels and markets.Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, customers, dealers, wholesalers, and vendorsOversee the timely marketing of inventory, including online listings, photography, specifications, and promotional content on the company website and third-party platformsSupport inventory movement strategies to optimize turnover and profitabilityDrive the profitability of the Used Truck Division, including accountability for divisional P&L performanceMonitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to gross profit, inventory aging, inventory turns, and sales volumesEvaluate market conditions and inventory performance to support strategic purchasing and pricing decisionsEnsure inventory transactions and documentation are completed accurately and efficientlyWork closely with Inventory Management and Sales Coordination teams to ensure proper release, title transfer,



and documentation of used truck assetsPartner with branch managers, sales teams, service departments, and leadership to align inventory strategies with overall business objectivesDemonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach while contributing innovative solutions to operational challengesOther duties and projects as assignedQualifications3+ years of business management or commercial sales experienceCompletion of post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree program is an assetValid Class 3 or Class 1 Unrestricted Driver's License and a clean drivers abstractProven ability to appraise used trucks and evaluate asset values accuratelyService, maintenance, or mechanical background within the trucking industry is an assetExperience managing used truck inventory, wholesale channels, or fleet asset transactions is an assetAbility to travel often as a mandatory part of the positionStrong knowledge of commercial truck specifications, configurations, and market valuesStrong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skillsStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindsetFinancial acumen with an understanding of profitability analysis, pricing strategies, and inventory managementKnowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environmentCompensation Rate$80,000 - $90,000per year+ variable compensationSalarywill be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level
