This is a Permanent role.Compensation:$80,000 - $100,000/yearLocation:Ottawa, ONJob Description:Key Responsibilities:Apply in-depth knowledge of engineering principles and standardsLead or participate in the design, licensing, and manufacture of sealed sources and transport packagesLead design processes, coordinate prototype manufacturing, and review/approve engineering drawingsPrepare engineering analysis, calculations, and test specificationsCoordinate and execute testing, compile results, and generate technical reportsDesign or modify production processes and equipmentLead mechanical engineering projects, ensuring delivery within defined budgets, schedules, and functionality requirementsStay current with manufacturing processes and equipment capabilities to support internal stakeholdersProvide task guidance and quality control for team membersQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering3+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience preferredProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for accreditationSkills and Competencies:Design and engineering analysis of mechanical systems and componentsDesign, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical or electromechanical equipmentDevelopment, refinement, and documentation of manufacturing processesStrong understanding of engineering judgment in complex, non-standard scenariosAbility to provide technical recommendations and guidance with limited supervisionAssets:Experience in the nuclear industry,
