The Resident Care Attendant reporting to the Director of Care and/or Resident Care Manager ensures and supports the collaboration and evaluation of the resident care services in accordance with applicable provincial standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that the highest standard of resident care is delivered and maintained at all times. What You Will Do Observe residents for any changes in resident status when tub bathing, washing, cleaning, dressing, and changing residents. Report any changes in the resident’s condition to the Nurse as soon as possible. Participate in the development of the Nursing Care Plan (NCP) by sharing observations, information and knowledge of the needs and strengths of the residents. Share this information with other members of the nursing team and the health care team (Cooperative Care Model) so that the plan addresses the resident’s individual needs in a holistic way (Philosophy of Caring/Wellness Model). Bath, shower, and wash residents according to the NCP to promote resident personal comfort and well-being according to strict water temperature control procedures.
