ProAll International Manufacturing Ltd., a Terex Brand located in Olds, Alberta, is seeking an Apprentice Mild Steel Welder. This is an excellent opportunity for a second- or third-year apprentice, or someone with equivalent welding experience, to continue developing their skills in a supportive manufacturing environment. You will work with mild steel in a range of thicknesses and sizes using GMAW welding processes.

What We Are Looking For:

- Second- or third-year welding apprentices are preferred. Candidates with equivalent welding experience will also be considered, provided they are willing to register as an apprentice within their first three months of employment.




- Experience using GMAW and working with mild steel.
- Basic knowledge of welding principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work orders.
- Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and ask questions when guidance is needed.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, quality work.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to organize your work, manage time, and respond appropriately when priorities or shop conditions change.
- Ability to safely handle the welding equipment and materials required for the role.
- Ability to work occasional overtime when required.
- Able to lift materials and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

Experience That Would Be an Asset:

- Experience with plasma or torch cutting.
- Experience with FCAW, MCAW, or aluminum GTAW.
- Experience riveting assemblies before welding.

What You’ll Do:

- Prepare joints and parts for welding, including cleaning, fitting, positioning, and riveting some assemblies before welding.
- Use GMAW processes to weld mild steel assemblies in various thicknesses and sizes.
- Follow work orders, drawings, and specifications to complete assemblies accurately.
- Monitor weld quality and consistency, and complete required documentation.




- Maintain welding equipment, including welding whips and machines, and perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Communicate work progress, production status, and any concerns to your supervisor.
- Contribute ideas that support quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Other light duties as assigned.
