Permanent Full TimeThe Process & Platforms Excellence team is looking for a Process Excellence Lead.The Process Excellence Lead, reporting to a Manager, plays a key role in advancing operational modernization and fostering continuous improvement by leading process redesigns that boost performance, efficiency, and effectiveness. Working closely with business operations and modernization leaders, this role helps design and implement process excellence projects, assesses opportunities for ongoing improvement, and contributes to broader business modernization initiatives.What You Will DoIn-depth analysis of existing processes to identify areas require re-engineeringThinking outside the box to devise entirely new ways of processing tasksGather quantitative and qualitative data through conducting focus groups, internal surveys, interviews, job shadows and time studies, etc. virtually and/or in-personAnalyze findings including large and complex data sets and reportsPrepare process maps and analyze them for improvement opportunitiesPropose process improvements informed by data analysis through the application of Lean methodologiesPerform business process redesign to meet organizational goals and drive business modernization effortsDrive design and execution of the process re-engineering projectsSignificant contributor to business cases by quantifying and qualifying operational impactsProvide analysis and reconciliation support through savings realization periodDevelop an analysis to assess the impact of process changes on capacity, efficiency, quality, and other key performance indicatorsSupport continuous improvements framework in collaboration with the business partnersA pivotal contributor to shaping the future operational landscape of the business, in alignment with the Canada Life Modernization strategyKey results include better customer experience, higher quality, and increased productivity to support business goals.What You Will BringDemonstrated expertise in Lean Methodology, encompassing proficiency in applying Lean principles, tools, and the successful implementation of process improvementsExcellent interpersonal skills to effectively gather process requirements, obtain approvals,
build relationships and provide sufficient influence to achieve successExceptional critical and analytical skills to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for substantial transformationProficient in breaking down intricate problems into manageable components to pinpoint and address areas for enhancementInnovative and creative mindset to develop entirely new methodologies for task executionExpertise in analyzing complex data to determine the most suitable course of action towards achieving objectivesComprehensive understanding of technologies that can be utilized to streamline new processesCollaborative approach, working across various departments and engaging stakeholders in the re-engineering initiativesStrong execution capabilities to ensure effective implementation of improvement and transformation opportunities in a dynamic environmentMeticulous attention to detail and precision in a fast-paced settingExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing projects effectivelyTransparent communication with all stakeholders regarding the changes and the underlying reasons for their necessity.QualificationsUniversity Degree in the Industrial engineering, business administration, computer science, etc. or equivalent experience or qualificationsProfessional certification(s) related to process design and improvement (Lean Six Sigma; Lean Analysis; Business Analysis)3+ years experience leading and delivering operational process improvements or initiativesExcellent communication skills with experience creating and leading presentations to senior leadershipSkilled at building strong, team-oriented relationships at all levels of an organizationAbility to communicate effectively, coach and support project teamsHigh proficiency (8/10) with Excel, PowerPoint; Process mapping tools (SAP Signavio, Adonis, MS Visio), Competent (5/10) with PowerBI; Tableau; SQL;Azure Databricks; Minitab; Familiarity with ARENA; SIMUL8 are the assetFinancial services/insurance business knowledge is an assetGiven the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations:
Toronto and Winnipeg.The base salary for this position is between $75,500 - $125,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.E. annual bonus, commission etc).
