The Legal Affairs Department proudly handles all legal matters for the City. Under the authority of the immediate supervisor, as a lawyer, you will represent the City before all common law and administrative courts and act, upon request, as legal advisor to the City's services.More specifically, you will be called upon to:Represent the City before all common law and administrative courts primarily in civil liability and public law; Act as a legal advisor to the City's services; Manage diverse cases; Draft formal notices and legal proceedings; Negotiate out-of-court settlement agreements; Draft legal documents of all kinds for various services; Conduct legal research and monitor recent developments; Support and enhance the legal knowledge development of the organization.The ideal profile for usMember in good standing of the Quebec Bar for at least six (6) years; Have relevant experience as a lawyer,
