Wei's Western Wear has outfitted Central Alberta since 1956, when our founder, Wei Mah,

opened the store's doors in Red Deer. Three generations later, the store is thriving, operating in Downtown Red Deer, on 67th St, and online. Three generations have helped grow Wei's into the mainstay that it is today, and we are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help us continue the growth and legacy of our business.

Responsibilities

- Floor leadership: run daily store operations, staff scheduling, and the customer
- experience on the sales floor
- Merchandising and buying: support buying decisions, attend vendor buying shows, manage stock levels and in-store presentation
- Team leadership: train, coach, and support sales staff; run shifts and make calls under pressure from day one
- Numbers: track sales targets, shrink, and inventory accuracy; comfortable pulling and reading basic reports
- Systems: work across our cloud-based tools (POS, e-commerce backend, inventory management); full training provided, but you shouldn't be intimidated by software
- Customer service: be a face of Wei's for walk-in customers and carry forward a 70+ year service reputation
- Must be available to work a minimum of 2 out of 4 Saturday's per month.

Experience

- Retail experience required; supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with numbers: inventory counts, sales reporting, basic budget literacy
- A natural leader people want to follow,



who can run a shift and make decisions independently
- Technologically comfortable: our systems are cloud-based and you'll work across all of them
- Excellent with people: customer service instincts that can't be taught
- Based in or firmly committed to Red Deer for the long term. We're looking for someone building a career here, not a short-term stop
