We like to say we have a vacation for every traveller because we do!If you're someone who's passionate about exploring the world and sharing that enthusiasm with our customers, we'd love to welcome you to our team.For over 50 years, Air Canada Vacations has been making travel easy, so come and join us in helping fellow Canadians create unforgettable memories wherever they go.JOB TITLE : Groups Commercial CoordinatorPOSITION STATUS : PermanentDEPARTMENT : Groups CommercialLOCATION : MontrealWhat You'll Be DoingObtain Group contract from supplier (Hotel) and coordinate accordingly.Facilitate Supplier issues - (i.E. cancellation penalties, negotiating/securing additional inventory/rates for rooms not available in block)Update system bookings with supplier confirmation numbersLiaise with suppliers to discuss ACV requests, issues and procedures as relates to group bookingsResponsible for the costing of group packages (manually cost package prices not available via ACV booking engines)Provide group ops with applicable inventory/rates for secured group, in order that the data be entered in the system for payment purposesCommunicate with land department, product and revenue management,



finance as relates to any issue that may occurMaintain and update all supplier group contractsIssue passenger rooming list/recaps to suppliers for confirmed groups per contract deadlinesAction and maintain a 48 hours turnaround of all queries and price/quotesProvide feedback and recommendation with regards to groups reportCreate and maintain ACV/supplier terms and conditions document when group is securedProvide details/information to groups call centre and/or procedures for quoting purposesLiaise with other departments as requiredPerform other duties as may be assigned.What You Bring To The TeamMicrosoft applications i.E. Word, Excel, Power Point (an asset)CEGEP/College degree or equivalent with 2-year minimum experience in tourism and/or related experience, operations expertise an assetStrong organizational skills, multitasker and can handle fast paced ever changing prioritiesDemonstrates accuracy, initiative, judgement and behaves in a confidential mannerProven analytical/negotiating and problem resolution skills, brings forth solutions and implementation processesBilingual French/English (Spanish is an asset)Excellent communication skills verbal/writtenWhy Work With Us?Our team loves to travel, and we have one of the most generous employee travel programs in the industry.
