Company Name: VECOVAPosition: Respite Provider Location of job: OkotoksJob summary:THE CHANCE – RESPITE PROVIDER – High River/OkotoksProvides high quality services and supports to clients that is consistent with Vecova's Statement of Values, Guiding Principles and Confidentiality.Home specific requirements – must include a furnished, private bedroom for consumer and shared space within the home available to provide respite housing supportsPictures and/or description of the home, specifically the private bedroom that would be used for the respite consumer (including the size and egress measurements of the windows in the bedroom) should be included withThis position requires candidates to provide respite in the candidate's home.Key Responsibilities:Provide Respite housing support in your residence 1 or 2 weekends (2/4 x 24 hour periods) per month to a consumer with a disability and mental health support requirements with an emphasis on residential and community based activitiesEstablish and build a professional relationship with clientFacilitate and support the client to; recognize and develop safety skills including how to respond to emergency situationsdevelop good health practices which include assisting in all aspects of personal care, hygiene, bathing,
