Suma Coffee Co. is looking for a Barista with an upbeat personality, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for creating a great customer experience.

We’re a modern café focused on quality coffee, beautiful drinks, great food, and an experience that keeps people coming back. We’re looking for someone who can bring that same energy behind the bar.

The Role

As a Suma Barista, you’ll be an important part of creating the experience our customers come in for. This is a fast-paced environment where you’ll need to stay organized, move quickly, and confidently handle multiple tasks at once.

You’ll be responsible for

- Preparing espresso, specialty coffee, teas, and signature drinks
- Providing warm, friendly, and attentive customer service
- Taking orders and operating the POS accurately
- Preparing and serving food items
- Multitasking and prioritizing tasks during busy periods
- Maintaining speed and efficiency without compromising quality
- Keeping the bar, equipment, and café clean, organized, and presentable at all times
- Maintaining high standards for drink quality and presentation
- Restocking supplies and keeping your station prepared throughout the shift
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Working closely with the team to keep service running smoothly
- Learning our menu and confidently recommending drinks and food to customers

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- 18+
- Upbeat, friendly, and naturally positive
- Excellent with customers — customer service experience is required
- Comfortable working in a busy,



fast-paced café environment
- Able to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Quick on their feet and able to switch between tasks when priorities change
- Highly attentive to cleanliness and organization
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- A strong team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in the quality and presentation of their work
- Comfortable staying busy and taking initiative rather than waiting to be asked

Previous barista experience is an asset. Food Handler Certification is an asset.

Availability

This is a part-time position with flexible availability required.

You must be available for a combination of:

Day shifts · Evening shifts · Weekends

We’re looking for someone who can provide consistent and reliable availability across different shift times.
