The Bike Shop is the largest independently owned bicycle retailer in Calgary and has proudly served our community for over 50 years. With three retail locations throughout the city, our team members pair customers with their dream bike everyday, make repairs and adjustments, and share the enthusiasm of all styles of cycling. We are in the midst of establishing a new off-site build shop, come be part of the team!

Responsibilities

As a bicycle builder your primary responsibility will revolve around assembling and tuning new bicycles out of boxes from brands like Trek, Specialized, Rocky Mountain, and more. Getting bikes built efficiently that are safe to ride and perform to our standards is paramount to the customer experience. As a member of the warehouse build team, responsibilities include:

- Assembly and tuning of new bicycles
- Tracking bike builds in our point-of-sale system
- Accurately tagging bikes with display tags
- Packaging bikes for shipping to customers

Wage Range: $18 - $22 per hour Required Availability: 40hrs/week,



4x10 hour of 5x8 hour options, no weekends

Job Qualifications

- Experience as a bicycle mechanic or builder is an asset but not required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
