DEPARTMENT: MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTIONSPOSITION LOCATION: OWEN SOUNDUNION AFFILIATION: NON-UNIONSTATUS: FULL-TIMEREASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENTSALARY RANGE: $116,136 – $137,766Reporting to the Director, Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Manager will oversee the development, management, evaluation and continuous improvement of quality patient care services at the Wellness and Recovery Centre. The Manager will be responsible for clinical and operational leadership, coordination, and oversight for patient care delivery with a specialized focus on addiction medicine and substance use. This position will encompass a number of mental health and addiction programs. The Manager is accountable to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the outpatient and addiction service programming to facilitate quality care, education, research, human resources management, fiscal management and leadership.QualificationsRequiredUndergraduate Degree in a Regulated Healthcare Profession or Social Services Discipline, Masters preferredCurrent registration with a health professional regulatory bodyExperience in delivery of complex mental health and/or addiction programming both within an inpatient and outpatient settingMinimum of 5 years of clinical experienceMinimum 5 years management and/or project management experience in a hospital setting or community developmentExperience in capacity-building and collaborative partnership developmentStrong leadership and analytical skillsHighly developed interpersonal presentation and communication skillsAbility to prioritize and manage time and resourcesAbility to collaborate with other regional healthcare partners and build business relationships with senior executivesAbility to interact effectively with a variety of people such as physicians, senior management, colleagues and clinical/technical staffOverall commitment to the quality of patient care as well as customer serviceValid (class G) driver's license, ability to travel (to outreach communities), reliable and insurable vehicleAvailable for regular assignment of Hospital Administrator On-Call responsibilities (assigned on a rotating basis to cover evenings and weekends)Recent satisfactory performance and attendance recordsDemonstrate, promote and encourage Brightshores' values – We Show Up for Each Other, We Are Trusted to Act, We Create Solutions Together, We Strive for Better, We Share AccountabilityAdvocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudesComply with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures and regulations, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work setting
