This position works independently, taking guidance from business plans, to provide operational leadership for HR related matters. This position has considerable impact on efficient operations of own area and many other areas/department and may influence the organization's long-term reputation and overall standing in the industry.Key Responsibilities:Formulate and apply HR Policies and process guidelines to ensure compliance and consistent practices.Maintain total compensation and performance review programRecommend and develop amendments to company policiesManage the recruitment processManage orientation, training and development programsEnsure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and return to work programs.Provide guidance to department managers and staff regarding HR mattersManage Company's hourly union Collective Agreement to ensure compliance with terms of the agreement.Participate in Collective Agreement planningProvide counsel on collective agreement interpretationFormulate guidelines for the application of progressive disciplinesMaintain relationship with the union representatives3.
