Cabinet Installer – ResidentialJob Overview

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Cabinet Installer to join our team on a contract basis.

Our company is a locally owned business with 45+ years of experience serving our community. This position is focused on residential cabinet installation. Our cabinetry arrives pre-built, so the role is primarily focused on accurately and professionally installing the cabinets on site.

The successful candidate will be comfortable reading and interpreting construction plans and cabinet drawings, working closely with our designers, and completing installations efficiently while maintaining a very high standard of workmanship.

We work in a fast-paced environment, and every project can present its own challenges. You will need to be able to think on your feet, problem-solve, pivot when needed, and work confidently under pressure.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Read and interpret construction plans, cabinet layouts, elevations, and installation drawings
- Install pre-built residential cabinetry accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with our designers to ensure the installation matches the approved design




- Confirm site conditions and measurements prior to and during installation
- Ensure cabinets are level, plumb, square, properly secured, and aligned
- Install fillers, panels, trim, moldings, hardware, and other cabinetry components as required
- Make necessary adjustments and minor modifications on site when required
- Identify potential issues and communicate them with the design team before they become problems
- Problem-solve unexpected site conditions and find practical solutions
- Protect cabinetry, countertops, flooring, walls, and other finished surfaces during installation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Keep tools and materials organized and ensure the job site is left clean upon completion
- Work efficiently to meet project timelines without compromising quality
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, designers, and other trades
- Represent our company professionally while working in customers' homes
- Follow protected work practices and maintain a skilled standard of conduct on every job

Experience & Qualifications
- Previous cabinet installation experience is preferred, but not required




- Experience with residential cabinetry is strongly preferred
- Ability to accurately read construction plans and cabinet drawings
- Strong understanding of levels, measurements, layouts, and basic construction principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Organized, clean, and respectful of customers' homes and job sites
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Must provide your own tools suitable for professional cabinet installation
- Must carry your own liability insurance, as this is a contract position
- Must be physically capable of safely handling and installing cabinetry and working on residential job sites

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who doesn't simply “get the cabinets installed,” but takes ownership of the finished product.

The right person will notice when something is slightly out of alignment, take the time to get it right, and understand that the quality of an installation reflects directly on our company. You should be comfortable working independently, but also understand the importance of communication and teamwork.

Pay: $45.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
