The Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC is hiring a Busser to join the team at our Waterfront Restaurant & Lounge. As a Busser, you’ll play an important role in keeping service moving smoothly and helping create a clean, welcoming dining experience for our guests. You’ll work alongside servers, kitchen staff, and managers to keep tables ready, support food and beverage service, and help the restaurant team deliver great service during busy shifts.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying active, and being part of a team. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working at a steady pace in a busy restaurant environment.

Duties

- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly and to restaurant standards.
- Run food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guest tables accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, floors, and guest-facing surfaces.
- Replenish water, bread, and other table items as directed by the service team.
- Assist with pre-shift setup and post-shift breakdown, including polishing, stocking, and organizing service areas.
- Handle dishware, glassware, trays, and service equipment carefully to minimize breakage.
- Communicate with servers and managers regarding table status, guest needs, and service flow.
- Support the service team with other duties as required to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a Busser or in a restaurant, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to support coworkers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.




- Robust attention to cleanliness, detail, and dining room presentation.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, including bus tubs, trays, dishware, and service equipment.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the dining room during service.

Additional Info

Education

There are no formal education requirements for this position. Previous experience as a Restaurant Busser or in a similar restaurant or hospitality role is preferred, although we value attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
