About Canter Coffee

Canter Coffee is a locally owned and growing coffee company with two locations: our Coffee Trailer in Sunderland and our Café in Cannington.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Café & Coffee Trailer Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and is looking for a consistent, long-term full-time role. You will work closely with the owner while helping oversee the day-to-day operations of both locations.

Our ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, communicates well, notices what needs to be done and takes initiative.

Responsibilities

As Café & Coffee Trailer Manager, you will:

- Lead and support our barista team during day-to-day operations
- Provide friendly and consistent customer service
- Prepare coffee, espresso beverages and other menu items to Canter Coffee standards
- Complete opening and closing procedures
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization and presentation
- Help manage inventory, product levels, prep and ordering
- Delegate daily tasks and ensure responsibilities are completed
- Train and support current team members
- Help maintain consistent drink quality and customer experience
- Troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues
- Communicate staffing, inventory and operational needs with the owner
- Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and operations
- Work at both our Sunderland and Cannington locations as needed

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate:
- Is looking for a consistent, long-term full-time position
- Has strong weekday and weekend availability
- Has previous experience in hospitality, food service,



retail or another fast-paced customer service environment
- Has previous leadership, supervisory or management experience, or is ready to take the next step into leadership
- Is dependable, punctual and organized
- Takes initiative and can work independently
- Is comfortable leading and giving direction to a team
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Is comfortable receiving feedback and continually improving
- Enjoys building relationships with customers and creating a welcoming environment
- Has reliable transportation and is able to work at both locations

Previous coffee or barista experience is an asset, but it is not required. We are happy to provide coffee training to the right candidate. For us, reliability, work ethic, leadership ability and attitude are just as important as previous coffee experience.
