The Health and Safety Advisor works closely with management, employees, and external stakeholders to identify hazards, reduce risks, and promote safe work practices across all operations.ResponsibilitiesConduct site inspections and audits at nights and occasional weekends on callInvestigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and prepare detailed reportsAdvise and coach managers and supervisors on H&S compliance and best practices.Review incident and inspection reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safe work practices, job hazard analyses, and safety documentation.Support WSIB claims management and return-to-work initiatives.Maintain company emergency equipment inventory (first aid kits, extinguishers, etc.).Lead or participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings.Support the facilitation of ongoing H&S training.Contribute to continuous improvement of the HSE program and support accreditations (e.G.



ISO 45001and SOSE).Perform other H&S duties as assigned.QualificationsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to work overnight shifts and on-call weekends3-5 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety, ideally within construction or industrial environmentsAbility to work independently and proactively in a quick-paced, field-based environment, while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliancePost-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, HSE Management, Safety Engineering, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of OHSA and applicable regulations, with hands-on experience in areas such as WHMIS, fall protection, PPE, equipment safety, emergency response, and site hazard controlsExperience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actionsExperience managing WSIB claims and return-to-work programsExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety cultureProven ability to coach, train, and support teams across multiple levels of the organizationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in hazard identification and incident reviewExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing prioritiesCommitted to staying current on industry trends and applying best practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Preferred (Assets)Professional certification such as CRSP, NCSO,
