Our Accounting group is currently looking to add a Senior Payroll Advisor to our team on a 6-month contract (to start), based in our Calgary office or Blackfalds head office.Reporting to the Corporate Controller, we are seeking an experienced payroll skilled with deep knowledge of Canadian payroll compliance and proven leadership skills to oversee multi-jurisdictional payroll and subcontractor payments; ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across all payroll functions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle multi-jurisdictional payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees and independent contractors, ensuring accurate cost allocation to multiple projects and cost centers and compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation including CPP, EI, income tax, WCB, and employment standardsPrepare and submit payroll remittances and required tax forms including T4s, T2200s, and T5018s; perform general ledger reconciliations on labour costs, accruals, benefits, deductions, and related payroll accountsSupport month, quarter, and year-end reporting and audit requirements; maintain accurate payroll records and employee data while ensuring confidentiality and data securityManage the payroll team including delegating work to meet deadlines, reviewing accuracy, training, coaching, and resource planningRequirementsPost-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field7 years of payroll experience,
